Two misfit losers fall in and out of love in this oddball Kiwi comedy about the awkwardness of romance. Lily (Loren Horsley) is a plain Jane cashier at the Meaty Boy burger shop; her new boyfriend Jared (Jemaine Clement) is an über-geek man-child with a passion for videogames, martial arts and making abusive phone calls to a guy named Eric. They're an unlikely couple but after they hook up at a fancy dress party a bizarre road trip ensues. Clement and Horsley underplay their characters nicely; it's as if they're space aliens come to live among us - hearing everything we say but listening only to their Universal Translators.

A group of teenage schoolboys mess around in the schoolyard, checking egos and measuring each other up. In class they are oblivious to their teacher's attempts to question them about the wider world.
